James has suffered an injury-plagued season at the south coast club, however when fit the veteran shot-stopper has continued to impress and will surely be on the plane to South Africa with England.
With Portsmouth's financial problems well-documented, Sky Sports News reports that while a plethora of Pompey's first team will move on, it is believed James will be amoung those offered a new deal.
Former Portsmouth executive Peter Storrie confirmed a mass clear-out is likely and that some players will remain.
"It will be down to the administrators. Several players are out of contract and will be offered new contracts next week, but obviously several will go," Storrie told Sky Sports News.
"They have said publicly that some will have to be sold to meet the debts, and I think that was going to happen anyway when a club has been relegated down to the Championship.
"But the

"Obviously they are not going to be at their current levels but I think there are players that want to stay.
"Some of the higher earners will go, I think that is quite clear in the Championship, but I still think they can put a decent squad together next season."
When asked about James' future at the club, Storrie replied: "As far as I am aware, last week that was still to be decided."
