AC Milan’s Ronaldinho: I want my friend Leonardo to be happy

As Leonardo closed his short experience on the Milan bench with a convincing win over Juventus on Saturday, man of the match Ronaldinho paid tribute to his friend and coach shortly after the final whistle.

“It has been beautiful to work with him,” 'Dinho declared to SkySport.

“He is my friend and I want to see him happy wherever he is.

“I don’t know who will be the coach of Milan next year. Now we will all go home, and wait for the call from the new coach at the start of next season."

The Brazilian was then probed as to his sentiments after having been left out by coach Dunga to represent the Selecao at this summer’s World Cup.

He added: “I don’t want to compare what I have done with what has been achieved by others this season. I respect the decisions of the coach, and ultimately it is he who chooses who should represent the country at the World Cup.”
