Former Tottenham star David Ginola tips England for World Cup semi-final appearance
Frenchman has Three Lions in final four...
The former French international, who enjoyed spells with Newcastle and Spurs, thinks the Three Lions have what it takes to go far in this summer's tournament in South Africa.
"I always put England in the last four," Ginola told the News of the World.
"It will be important they get through the group stage but after that, they can go far.
"Capello has managed to make England play as a team.
"After missing out on Euro 2008, it is so great to see England at the World Cup."
Ginola maintains he was not surprised by Capello's provisional squad.
"None of the players who have been selected are a surprise - if they are in the last 30, they deserve it," added the 43-year-old.
"It is not just the 30, it is the final 23 that is the really important one."
The World Cup is the biggest event in football according to the Frenchman.
Ginola continued: "When I started watching football, the World Cup was on in 1978 in Argentina.
"That was when I started getting into football and inspired me to go onto have the career I had.
"It's the biggest thing in football."
